Project Description
SOLARable is a wall-mounted device meant to provide comprehensive performance monitoring of both wind and solar generators. Through its remote up-link, users can track power output against electrical demand, monitor and predict remaining life cycles for a battery array, and even predict solar budgets based on weather forecasts. We set out to develop a contemporary housing which featured a highly approachable / unintimidating interface. Users navigate menus using a simple click knob that gives immediate feedback via a color coded indicator and LCD display.
