Project Description
The GlobalStar ‘Sat-Fi2’ is a messaging, voice, and data wifi hot spot that sends its data to a network of satellites instead of through a traditional hardwired modem; this allows users to access data even when in remote locations. The housing is designed to be water resilient and modular; with an accessory ‘side-car’ module that’s capable of supporting tool-free expansion with future accessories. The interface features are designed to be easily identified via touch alone while the SOS features a slim protective cover to prevent accidental false triggers. Part consumer and part industrial, the Sat-fi2 styling is optimized to charm and appeal to both caliber of users.
